Welcome Home, Misfit!
Why Misfits Exists
Let’s be real: the world wasn’t built for folks like us.
Too often, the very spaces meant to help—therapy, school, work, even healing spaces, left us feeling dismissed, misunderstood, or like we were the problem. Misfits is your space to explore, expand, and exist on your own damn terms.
We believe:
You’re not broken. You don’t need fixing, you need space to figure sh*t out your way.
Growth isn’t about being “better.” It’s about becoming more you.
Humour and humanity are survival tools. We make space for swearing, tenderness, rage, and the occasional “what even is life?” spiral.
There’s no one right way to heal or thrive. There’s just your way, and we’re here to hold space for you.
Messiness is welcome. So is confusion, grief, resistance, numbness, softness, and transformation.
This is a judgment-free zone. Mask off. Heart open.
We’ve been there. We get it. Come exactly as you are, we’re so glad you’re here. 💖
Meet the founder of Misfits.
“I know what it’s like to feel out of place, to feel alone in a room full of people, to be fighting invisible battles and long for support and belonging. Whether you’re navigating your career, identity, relationships, or just trying to make it through the day… you don’t have to do it alone.”
- Jace Malz
Hey, I’m Jace (they/he).
Queer, trans, sober, neurodivergent, and a lifelong misfit.
I created Misfits because I know what it’s like to shape-shift just to survive. For over a decade, I’ve designed and facilitated transformative experiences around the world through my business, Inbo. I’m a certified coach with 500+ hours of experience, with a background in organizational development, trauma-informed facilitation, and building spaces for brave, messy, growth.
But honestly? Titles aside, I’m a human who’s worked really f@#%! hard to build a life I could actually live in. Being trans gave me a deeply embodied understanding of transformation. It taught me how to hold space with nuance, humility, and a fierce belief in your right to take up space, exactly as you are.
Misfits is my love letter to all of us who were told we were too much.
It’s not true. It was never true. And once you can see that clearly, you’re free.
May the Misfits who need us, find us.
